We’re is pleased to announce the appointment of Lars Bartram as Managing Director – Europe.
Lars brings extensive global experience across steelmaking, raw materials and energy markets, further strengthening M Resources’ capability to support customers and partners across the European region. In this role, Lars will be supporting sales and marketing across Europe and Atlantic markets, while also providing support to the business development team.
Drawing on his deep background in steelmaking and steelmaking materials, Lars will provide industry and commodity expertise across M Resources’ operations, delivering leadership, advisory support and strategic insight while working closely with the broader M Resources team.
Prior to joining M Resources, Lars held senior leadership roles at Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG in Duisburg, where he served as Head of Iron Ore, Carbon Products, Sea Logistics and Energy. He also spent more than 20 years with Salzgitter AG in a range of senior positions, including Head of Raw Materials Hedging and General Manager Raw Materials.
Lars brings deep expertise in procurement across iron ore, coking coal, ferrous alloys and energy, alongside strong commercial and advisory capability. He holds an MBA from the University of Göttingen and will be based in Germany, travelling regularly to support M Resources’ global activities.
