Matt Latimore
Founder & President
Matt Latimore is the Founder and President of M Resources Pty Ltd, a company he established in 2011 for marketing, investment and trading of steelmaking raw materials, with a focus on metallurgical coal. M Resources has shipped over 400 cargoes of metallurgical coal as principle to global steel mills and currently has the exclusive marketing rights for Stanmore Resources (SMR) and Bowen Coking Coal (BCC) in Australia.
Prior to founding M Resources, Matt was General Manager Sales and Marketing for Wesfarmers Curragh coal for 10 years, responsible for global sales to steel makers and power utilities, rail and port and finance functions. Matt was a Director of Curragh Coal Sales. Prior to that, Matt held various positions with Mitsui & Co Coal Department. Matt holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a degree in International Business from Griffith University, Diploma of Export Management from the Australian Institute of Export, an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management from the University of Western Australia, is a Graduate of the Australian Directors Course (GAICD) and the Columbia University Senior Executive Program in New York.
Tim Peirce
Chief Commercial Officer
With over two decades of experience in the Australian mining and resources industry across roles primarily in marketing and business development, Tim Peirce has held key roles at prominent companies, including Wesfarmers and BHP Billiton.
As Chief Commercial Officer at M Resources Trading Pty Ltd, Tim is responsible for overseeing M Resources’ commercial and operational relationships in the coal market including sales, sourcing and logistics. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.”
Aidan Meka
Chief Investment Officer
As M Resources’ Chief Investment Officer, Aidan Meka plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s strategic investment initiatives. His multifaceted background encompasses extensive experience in finance, marketing, and sales, with a focus on the dynamic intersections of the finance and mining sectors.
Prior to his current position, Aidan contributed significantly to the success of Coronado, holding positions such as Manager, Strategi Planning & GM – Treasury, Investment Valuations & Management, Investor Relations. Aidan Meka’s trajectory in the finance and mining industries reflects not only his professional versatility but also his commitment to driving success across various facets of resource management and investment endeavours.
Craig McLane
GM – Trade Finance
Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Craig McLane serves as our General Manager specialising in trade finance. Craig is an experienced senior finance executive with a broad range of domestic and international expertise in global treasury, corporate finance, capital markets, investment banking, ESG, ERM, asset optimization, M&A, risk management and FP&A.

Ram Madiraju
Director, Sales & Marketing
Ram brings with him 17 plus years of industry experience to the M Resources team in the areas of strategic procurement, marketing, trading, and dry bulk shipping & logistics. Prior joining M Resources, Ram had worked with Tata Group in several functions and undertaken leadership roles delivering significant value across commercial & operational areas.
An Engineer and MBA by qualification, he has handled roles & projects in corporate development, strategic planning, business forecasting, cost reduction, and commercial excellence. Ram is passionate about digitization and leveraging analytics in managing commodity supply chain risks.
Colin Moffatt
General Manager & SSE, Millennium Mine
Colin Moffatt is the General Manager and Site Senior Executive (SSE) for M Resources’ Millennium Mine east of Moranbah. In this capacity, he is accountable for the safe and efficient un-covery and extraction of open cut and underground Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) and coking coal.
Colin is an experienced mining professional and operational leader who uses an open and collaborative leadership style to bring about effective problem solving, planning and business outcomes. Previously, Colin has worked as Orica’s Business Development Lead and Macmahon’s Project Manager & SSE
Murray Smith
Chief Operating Officer
Murray Smith brings more than 30 years of senior executive and board-level experience to his role as Chief Operating Officer at M Resources. As COO, Murray is responsible for the company’s strategy, finances, IT, administration and M&A due diligence and integration.
Previously, Murray served as a Statutory Officer of the Queensland Government responsible for the State’s Financial Provisioning Scheme; COO at IFAA; Senior VP of Enterprise Strategy at Aurizon; and Executive General Manager of Business Partnerships at Suncorp
Blake Joppich
Head of Finance
Blake Joppich currently serves as the Head of Finance at M Resources Trading, leading the company’s financial endeavours with a wealth of industry experience. Blake’s broad range of financial and commercial management roles have enabled him to build a diverse skill set and he brings a practical and energetic leadership approach to the finance discipline. Prior to joining M Resources Trading, Blake played a crucial role in refining and implementing financial strategies to support existing businesses and integrate acquired businesses as regional Finance Director at Datamine, an operating portfolio of listed software investor Constellation Inc.
Prior to this his tenure at Downer and BHP further showcased his ability in navigating the complexities of day-to-day financial management and contributing significantly to the individual organisations corporate strategy. These roles underscore Blake’s dedication to shaping sound financial and commercial management practices and his ability to drive positive change within dynamic corporate environments
