The Building Blocks of a Sustainable Future

By supporting a stimulated economy and the production of in-demand raw materials, we are committed to laying the foundations of a sustainable future for our world.

ECONOMIC contribution

M Resources supports economic growth.

Australia’s mining and mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sector contributes hundreds of billions of dollars to the national economy and supports over one million jobs every year. Through trade, the sector utilises Australia’s rich natural coal resources to meet global demand and gain significant export earnings. The high rates of corporate tax paid by mining companies also indirectly support the country’s critical healthcare, infrastructure, finance and education programmes.

As part of the METS sector in Australia, M Resources plays a part in this significant economic contribution. Our challenge now is to continue supporting the nation’s economy and Gross Domestic Product (GDP), while reducing the environmental footprint of our services and operations.

STEELMAKING

Sustainable development needs steel to thrive.

Metallurgical coal, also known as met or coking coal, is a naturally occurring sedimentary rock that is essential to the production of steel. Steel boasts many desirable properties that render it one of the most widely used building materials in the world. It has become a fundamental ingredient in many of today’s critical construction, infrastructure, transport and energy transition projects.

Safety

Steel is strong, sturdy and can be designed to withstand high-impact crashes, rendering it one of the safest building materials available.

Efficiency

Steel offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any building material, and is often the economic alternative.

Versatility

Steel constitutes many builders’ material of choice due to its availability, strength, versatility, ductility and recyclability.

Assembly

Steel buildings are inherently quick and easy to assemble and disassemble, which can ensure significant environmental savings.

Weight

Steel bridges are four to eight times lighter than those built from concrete, without compromising on strength or durability.

“A better tomorrow starts with the work we do today. That’s why, at M Resources, we are committed to supporting your social, economic and environmental imperatives.”
